Hello everyone,
i want to ask you about some help with my problem. The thing is that i calculated timestep, i've put it in controlDict and everything is fine until my simulation get to about 200 - 300 iteration. Before this, maximum Courant number is about 0,001... , but after about 200 - 300 iterations it immidiately (after 2 iterations raised to 1,64e+47) Could you please tell me where is the problem? Is it still too high timestep? |

Hello MagicCFD
set: adjustTimeStep true; to false and see what happends... Like that openFoam is executing the deltaT you define in the controlDict without overwriting this... And it is helpful to limit courant to 1 by using: maxCo 1; in controlDict. ... anyway, it is a good idea to start with: adjustTimeStep false; run some iterations and then turn it to true...
