Hello OF users,
Considering you are simulating a fluid flow through a manifold (whose goal is to feed multiple pipes with the same pressure drop characteristics) and you want to evaluate how flow is distributed in the different pipes without modelling pipes (in order to simplify, we consider a single outlet surface from which pipes are starting) . The question is : - is there a BC able to implement a pressure drop equation in the outlet surface so that the fluid flow would take into account the downstream characteristics? If not possible I thought to make 2 different fluid parts, with the pipe part simulated as a porous region. And in this case, do I have to make a multi region simulation? Thank you a lot for the time you spend for me. Fred |

if you have an equation for pressure drop at the outlate, you can implement it with swak4Foam

Thank you for the answer Nimasam. I'm going to take a look at this.
