Hello everyone ,

I'm currently trying to track particle using the solver icoUncoupledKinematicParcelFoam of OpenFoam 7.

My simulation runs well but the only positions for the particles that I get are barycentric positions. However, I really don't know how to understand them or create a code to transform them into cartesian's ones. And I'm not able to get any information on internet on how to do that (well I didn't find any yet...).

I already tried on Paraview with a method that I found on another thread which was the following:

1) run the simulation
2) type paraFoam
3) explodeblocks in Paraview and select lagrangian fields
4) open a new layout and select spreadSheet View
5) export data into .csv format

I was very happy with this method until I figured out that if for example at the time1.csv file, at the line 3 was the particle number 3 then at the time2.csv file, at the line 3 it's not the particle number 3 anymore but another one (the particle 5 for example).....
So I'm not able to follow the trajectory of one particle...

So I'm asking for help from you, if you have any solution to get the particle's Cartesian coordinates with Paraview or Openfoam and especially a solution that will allow me to follow one particle from the beginning to the end of the simulation?
