Hi everyone, I need to simulate the effects of a centrifugal fan which main task is to cool an electric motor, I want to use its outlet velocity to shape the flow in a manner that gives me more downforce.
The car is already solved in simpleFoam and I don't want to change that, I tought of adding a fixedJump in pressure to the inlet of the fan and adjusting the value until I got to the flowrate stated in the manufacturer specs.
I'm sure there's a better way to do this but I don't have a lot of experience with fans in openFoam.
The other BC I can think of is the fan but since the inlet and the outlet surfaces of the centrifugal fan are orthogonal i'm not sure if this will work well.

Any help/hint/whatever is really appreciated (I never got a simulation with fans working so everything you can tell me is a big step forward for me)

Thanks
