gbope7 is on a distinguished road
Hello, I am wondering how I can set a scalar field to apply specifically to a boundary patch. I have used the following sequence of commands to mesh and create patches on a .stl file that I am working with:

Code:
surfaceFeatureExtract
blockMesh
snappyHexMesh -overwrite
topoSet
createPatch

That sequence of code allowed me to create patches on the surface and patches on the bottom of the .stl file (CAD rendering) that I plan to do simulations on. I want to apply a temperature field to the surface patch alone so that it would be an initial condition.

My newly created patches are found in 0.5/polyMesh/boundary and I don't know how I can refer to them from setExprFieldsDict. Can someone advise on the proper workflow or a tutorial that covers this please?

Thank you!
