Hi,
I am trying to learn adaptive meshing capabilities of OpenFOAM to use it for a level set solver. For this reason, i modified the already available scalarTransportFoam solver to handle adaptive meshing. I solved a case where a circular region travels diagonally in a square region. I used a 100x100 mesh with no adaptation and same mesh with adaptation. When i compare the results of these cases, adaptive meshing seems to make the result worse although it increases computational time 20 times. I uploaded my cases and results. If you have some experience with adaptive meshing in OpenFOAM, could you please check my code if there is anything wrong with it? Thanks in advance. Regards, Emrah. |
