Hi all,

I am trying to increase Ubar with time so that I may have an unsteady flow. This has been confusing me for some time now.

I am using the channel395 case and have looked into using a codedSource to change Ubar, but I couldn't get that to work so if someone has some tips on this please lend a hand.

I have also tried adding a term to the UEqn, from which I had a little success because it did increase something, but that something was the pressure gradient as the line,

fvOptions.constrain(UEqn);

is making things quite difficult by cancelling out my new term by increasing the pressure gradient in the opposite direction to hit the target Ubar that is set in fvOptions.

So I thought it would be a good idea to create my own constrain class that doesn't want to ruin my hard work. It is clear to me that this is probably in fact not the most ideal way to get what I want.

If anyone could show me the best way of doing this whether it be through a codedSource in fvOptions, or adding my own time varying momentum term to UEqn that would be most appreciated.

Hello,

I am also trying a similar thing, have you been able to figure this out, to add sinusoidal/time varying ubar in fvoptions? If yes, then please help me, thanks in advance.

Hi,
Have you managed to apply sinusoidal/time varying ubar in fvoptions?

Hi, instead to directly implement ubar, I tried to do the following:
Could pressure gradient be modelled as "vectorCodedSource" in fvoptions at inlet
