Does anyone have experience in adding adiffusion term in the VOF equation?

I would like to implement an atomization model whose phase continuity equation is the same as the VOF equation but with the addition of a diffusion term. The diffusivity is equal to the turbulent viscosity divided by the turbulent Prandtl number.

Is it wnough if I add the diffusion term in the equation? Or I would need to modify more things in the solver?

Thank you
