I've been learning about FGMFoam from the really helpful tutorial by Michael Bertsch, documented at http://http://www.tfd.chalmers.se/~h...rt_FGMFoam.pdf

The test case is setup for the GRI mechanism, and there are scripts included to generate flamelets with Cantera. However, the report mentions, "For a Matlab sript to generate 4D tables with the tabulation parameters PV, Z, varPV, and varZ, please contact Likun Ma."

I have not been able to reach Linkun Ma and I am wondering if anyone has created/published such a script so as to allow the use of a different mechanism with FGMFoam?

Did you ever get a script that helped convert .csv files produced from Cantera to the 4D tables needed in FGMFoam? I am kind of stuck at the same point and have not heard from Likun Ma.

@dlahaye was extremely kind to prepare a similar script. It can be found at: https://github.com/ziolai/software/b...neration.ipynb

I am not sure if this is 100% finished or not, presently the JuPyter notebook has an error in it. But it is much better documented than anything else I have seen for making the 4D tables.

Okay I am not used to taking something from ChatGPT and throwing it out to the world without being absolutely sure it's correct, but in the interest in moving this topic forward..
