So - I have read through the existing threads in this area, but I don't believe there is one that directly addresses a solution for this.
the standard output from a solver is /*********** t=0 (sweep dir 0) initial residual: final residual: iterations (sweep dir 1) initial residual: final residual: iterations (sweep dir 2) initial residual: final residual: iterations t= 1..n (sweep dir 0) initial residual: final residual: iterations (sweep dir 1) initial residual: final residual: iterations (sweep dir 2) initial residual: final residual: iterations ***********/ now what I am looking for is -- I want to see the change in residual in each iteration. However, I have found no way to do this to this point. I have seen that you can use maxIter and the residual keywords to make the time stepping output as iterations if this was a steady state case (still not ideal). but if there was a way to output the iterations at each sweep this would be applicable for monitoring my time advance, as well as for steady state. does anyone know if this is available to do, and if so how? thanks! |

Hi, PEM_GUY, FOAM has a set of flags that allow you to select the level of verbosity of at run-time. I can't remember now, but increasing the verbosity level in solving could give you the information you want.
Regards.
