Hi wind turbiners out there!
i was wondering if there are good guesses out there for turbulence boundary conditions in wind turbine applications. I'm using a k-epsilon model right now on my boundaries far far away from my point of interest ... and i did some reading about this topic and I found widely varying rules for setting k and epsilon inlet boundaries. Right now i'm using values of about k=0.04, epsilon=0.25 a mixingLengh of 0.05 and a turbulent intensity of 0.02 the results look alright. But other sources recommend values down to k=0.00006 and up to 0.4 and epsilon=0.0008, up to 1.0 So i was wondering what values you have good experiences with? k? epsilon? omega? in "ideal, standardized " wind Regards, Andreas |
