Hi there,
I am trying to model a cylindrical tube equipped with reed valves, assuming a transient compressible flow. I basically want to run a shock tube simulation and study the motion of the valves, hence my interest in FSI. Although I am not very proficient at OpenFOAM, it looks like no current solver can manage compressible FSI. I was hoping someone could give me some advice at this point : - Could you recommend compressible solvers that I could combine to icoFsiFoam to obtain a compressible FSI solver ? - Also, I saw that icoFsiFoam had issues with small time steps. Is is a Courant number problem or really a time step problem ? I'm not quite sure I understood the answers I saw in other posts. Could somebody please enlighten me on the subject ? - Do you think there is a better solution than using icoFsiFoam ? Any help would be most welcome ! Thanks for your help, Florian Last edited by Awak; November 26, 2015 at 01:22. |
