Hello everyone,

I am a Dutch student Naval Architecture from The Netherlands, and have recently started to discover OpenFOAM v1606+. I am running my first OpenFOAM tutorial, called Lid-driven Cavity. Now I have come to 1.1.5.3: "Mapping the coarse mesh results onto the fine mesh". I have made a CavityFine directory for this part of the tutorial, but when I want to use the "mapFields ../cavity -consistent" command, this command is not found. I have already checked if all the boundaries etc. are the same, which they are. Does someone have an idea where this problem can be found, and in addition, can be solved?

The only difference I know between these two cases is the startTime, in the cavity case this is 0, and the endTime is 0.5 s. In the cavityFine case this startTime is 0.5, I assume the reason for this is to safe calculating time.

Thanks in advance,

JD1995

Hi Katrin!

Thanks for your reply, I have found another solution on this forum!

The answer for me was in the message of Bruno Santos, in the following link:

http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...-problems.html

I followed these steps to do 7, 8, 9 and 11, and that solved the problem.

I hope this can also help you.

Best Regards,

Joost
