Smile PISO and SIMPLE algorithm

I have a simple question which might seem silly to some, but if I set the nCorrectors to 1 in the PISO algorithm subdictionary, will it work as a transient SIMPLE algorithm?

If one corrector, so why don't you use simpleFoam?

Oh, my question is from a theoretical point of view. I have already solved my problema with PimpleFoam.
