Default Lesser than reference pressure in InterFOAM

Hello all,

I am setting my outlet pressure to 1e5. This should set the reference pressure for my domain. My mesh does not have dynamic motion (I have implemented acceleration addition to the gravity term to mimic the dynamic motion of my domain). There is a no slip BC for U at the walls and another patch P1. I am interested in monitoring the pressure on P1.

The problem I face - I see negative (less than 1e5) pressure at the patch for a part of the cycle (the acceleration I add to the 'g' term mimics a cycle with a fixed amplitude).

I understand that the incompressible fluid draws from the static pressure as per the Bernoulli's eqn. But since at the wall, the velocity is zero, all the dynamic pressure should get converted to static pressure - then why do I see negative gage pressure?

Any help will be appreciated. I am working with OF 2.4.x.
