Hi Foamers,
I am trying to setup a case with radiation model. I saw in the buoyantSimpleFoam tutorial - hotRadiationRoom. Beside radiationProperties, there is another file called boundaryRadiationProperties. What is this boundaryRadiationProperties? I tried to search online, but didn't find too many useful information. Does anyone know about this? Thanks very much. Cheers |

I faced with the same problem. Fast search in the tutorials folder
find ~/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-plus/tutorials/ -name boundaryRadiationProperties gives examples of the boundaryRadiationProperties. If I am correct, it allows to set up inhomogeneous radiation properties |

Did you find the answer?
As per my thinking, if we are not adding emissivity in qr/G/IdDefault file for wall then boundaryRadiationProperties is needed and it will take wall emissvity value from it. But, if we give emssivity in qr/G/IdDefault then we don't need boundaryRadiationProperties. But, I can be wrong since I haven't tested it and hence don't go on my word. Need to test it. If anyone know then kindly let me know. Thanks |
