Hello FOAMers,

I am trying to understand how to use snappyHexMesh through a previously held training session at Standford. I found the slides very useful and could learn know meaning of previously obscure lines of code in snappyHexMeshDict. I'm trying to follow a particular section (pg.8 of http://web.stanford.edu/~csoulain/OF...G_PART_2v5.pdf) of these instructions and am stuck at something probably very simple. However, I don't see how to do this.

I want to superimpose the porous surface geometry on the original flow domain defined earlier by blockMesh. The instructions suggest that I should open the .stl (porous) file in paraView while the background geometry is open. But what to do next so as to superimpose them? I tried Rescaling option but nothing happens.

I continued anyway. And after the snappyHexMesh run I see only the background geometry now in paraView which is also has got modified.

Anyone knows how to deal with this ?
