Free rotating axis

Hi foamers,

I would like to simulate a wind turbine but I do not know how to get a free rotating axis.
Is there a special solver, boundary conditions or any tips ?

Hi mojuss,

I have not tried it myself but I think you want something like the sixDoF motion solver, have a look a the tutorial cases:

./incompressible/pimpleDyMFoam/wingMotion/wingMotion2D_pimpleDyMFoam/constant/dynamicMeshDict

./multiphase/interDyMFoam/ras/DTCHull/constant/dynamicMeshDict.sixDoF

./multiphase/interDyMFoam/ras/floatingObject/constant/dynamicMeshDict.sixDoF
