waseemsarwardogar is on a distinguished road
Hi all,

Good day everyone,

I am simulating flow past circular cylinder with periodic blowing and suction from the top and bottom surface of the cylinder. In order to implement blowing and suction, i am using groovybc for the cylinder wall with mathematical expression,i.e vel_n=sin(2pi*f*t)*Gaussionfunction*sin(2pi*z/Lz). where vel_n is normal to surface velocity and Lz is spanwise domain length.
I want to simulate VIV with openfoam with this blowing and suction from the cylinder wall. I used pimpleDyMFoam for VIV with rigidbodysixdofsolver in openfoam. The sixdofsolver specifies the boundary type of movingwallvelocity for the cylinder surface and does not allow to provide groovybc additionally for the same wall.
I want to give both boundary conditions,i.e. groovybc and movingwallvelocity to the same patch,i.e. cylinder surface.
I would appreciate help for cfd community.
regards
