Dear All,
Is there any way that we can apply a porous - fluid interface boundary condition by creating a porous zone in the mesh? I am first assuming that we are not going for the chtMultiRegion solver. I wish to simulate incompressible - steady - no conduction simulation for porous foam inserted in a fluid zone. I want to apply the following boundary condition (see image) at the interface between the porous layer and liquid layer for the mesh shown -- (see attachment). I understand that such coupling exists for the chtMultiRegion solver, but it exists only for temperature, as far as I know. What about velocity? Also, no steady and incompressible version of chtMultiRegion is available, I guess. So can I modify any other generic solver to solve my problem? Please help me out. Thank you in advance. |

I think you can apply those BCs by using swakFoam

Hi Anirudh,
I am working on a case that is very similar to yours. Have you found any solution for implementing boundary conditions at porous-fluid interface? Thanks |
