Simplefoam runs using the same mesh

I have a model that I want to run with various inlet and outlet conditions using simplefoam. Instead of re-meshing for each different boundary condition, can I re-use the same snappyhexmesh generated mesh and just change the boundary conditions and re-run?
It seems like this should be simple, but I'm missing something. Thanks! |

Just change BC by hands and restart. If you use parallel running first start snappyHexMesh (after blockMesh of course) second decomposeParDict. Having changed BC (only in the "0" folder) run decomposeParDict again and run the solve.

Hey Roman,
Thanks. I'm trying to avoid having to re-run snappyhexmesh as that takes a significant amount of time. And if I'm only changing velocity and/or pressure I don't think that should be necessary. Is there a way to just restart the simulation after changing the BC and without re-running the mesh? Thanks! |
