Hi everybody,

I'm currently using reactingFoam on the OpenFOAM v1902 to study the 1-D ethylene-oxgen-argon premix flame. The inlet boundary condition is defined by fixedValue for spcies, temperature and velocity, and the zeroGradient for pressure. The outlet boundary condition is defined by fixedValue for pressure and zeroGradient for spcies, velocity, temperature. The Empty wall is applied due to the present pesude 1-D simulation. Everything seems OK and I got a good results compare with references (temperature/ species mole fraction profile).

However, someone told me that "reactingFoam solver is known to be difficult to stabilize a 1D flat premixed flame (often pushed out of the domain given enough time)", so my results calculated by reactingFoam might be totally wrong. I do not find such "not stable behaviour" in my simulation cases and I'm trying the search online, but cannot find the similar problem. So here I would like to ask have anyone face the same problem? Or any suggestion on the problem? Thanks in advance.
