I am having alot of problems understanding the writeControl keyword in controlDict and would appreciate if someone explained it to me in terms of the logged data and time folders and the actual iterations of the solver.
writeControl Controls the timing of write output to file.
just to point it out, time step here means an iteration, right? I ran with all different options for the pitzDaily simpleFoam tutorial.... the "runTime" and "timeStep" gave me 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 279 folders. All other options gave me just one folder 279 which is the last iteration... i kept writeInterval at 50.... can someone please explain??? and do the logged values inside the logfiles change respectively? thanks! |
