simulated velocity fields are not same across symmetry plane

Hello All
I am facing a strange behaviour when symmetry bc is used in front and back plane (z-dir) in my geomtery. In my understanding, the flow fields (eg velocity) should have exact same velocity profiles on any plane across the symmetry boundary (front and back). When I see the simulated results and plot velocity profiles (using plot on line function in paraview) at several points in z-drection across the front and back plane (@front, @back and @middle), the profile plots are compeletely different than one-another. Has anyone has experienced this behaviour before and what could be the possible reason of this behaviour? Best Regards Atul |
