Does activeBaffleVelocity work with interFoam?

I'm not so familiar with the backgrounds of OpenFOAM, so maybe this question is stupid, but please bear with me. I'm running a 3D dam break scenario with interFoam and I'm thinking of using activeBaffleVelocity for the dam baffle to let it open (i.e. "break"). But I'm not sure if I understand all the info about activeBaffleVelocity and which solvers it would work with. Would it work with interFoam?
