Hi All
I am trying to simulate air-water flow inside a pipe using interFOAM. Does interFOAM comes automatically with dynamic mesh? or do I have to implement it? I am using the angleduct tut solver.
Thanks.

Hello,

Yes, interFoam includes dynamic mesh capabilities.

Code:
Solver for two incompressible, isothermal immiscible fluids using VOF
phase-fraction based interface capturing.
With optional mesh motion and mesh topology changes including adaptive
re-meshing.
In OpenFOAM, dynamic mesh is a pretty broad term encompassing techniques where mesh is changing over time.
You should be able to find few examples in the interFoam tutorials (look for tutorials using a dynamicMeshDict file)

Regards,
Yann

Hi Yann
Hi Yann, Thanks. I am just wondering whether I would require dynamic mesh for my problem. It is water falling from a height and flowing inside a 3d pipe with a vertical height. The air-water interface seems to be strange near the fall but becomes smooth as it flows rightwards. Attached is the picture.

Also if I want to implement dyn mesh for my problem, are there any good learning materials?

Thanks

It is strange indeed but I don't know what is going on.
In ParaView, could you plot cell values rather than node values?

Hi, I tried doing it i think. But no effect. BTW how do you plot cell data instead of node. I clicked cell data to point data in filters. Does it work for contour plots?

Thanks

If you are using paraFoam you have both node and cell values by default (see screenshot)
