alpha.water values problem

Hi everyone!
I have a problem with alpha.water. I use interFoam and my simulation includes a vessel (like a bottle), that is half full of water. A part of the vessel wall moves (I use dynamic mesh with motionSolver displacementLaplacian). I have an inlet in the upper part of the vessel and an outlet on the bottom (that I have closed actually, so it is like wall). The simulation is running until the moment I see this in the log file: Phase-1 volume fraction = -1.47452e+06 Min(alpha.water) = -2.44002e+06 Max(alpha.water) = 8.5511e-54 MULES: Correcting alpha.water MULES: Correcting alpha.water MULES: Correcting alpha.water Phase-1 volume fraction = 6.60446e+55 Min(alpha.water) = -1.92746e+76 Max(alpha.water) = 2.98602e+76 smoothSolver: Solving for alpha.water, Initial residual = 0.999986, Final residual = 3.98268e-05, No Iterations 1000 Phase-1 volume fraction = 3.15236e+73 Min(alpha.water) = -1.35682e-05 Max(alpha.water) = 5.21648e+73 Then the simulation crashes. I decided that it is probably a problem of the boundary conditions and tried to change them. I tried different variations, but unfortunately, the result is the same. Could someone, please, advise me what are the appropriate boundary conditions or how could I avoid this alpha.water problem? Thanks a lot in advance! |
