Hi, i'm trying to simulate an external flow on a NACA 4412 airfoil. i have a static 3D mesh (produced on Gambit) and i obtain good results on lift and drag coefficent. Now i want to simulate the flow during the airfoil rotation (like a wind turbine).

Thanks for advice

regards Emanuele

I'd like to transform the case of the static airfoil to a case in which the airfoil rotates.

Regards

in what way i can impose a rotating wall around the wing? or can the wing wall rotates in the space?

Thanks for advice

Hi Emanuele,
Look at the MRFSimpleFoam.

Thanks for advice

Hi Emanuele,
I hope I didn't understand your post wrong, but if you try to compute a rotating body, like a "wind turbine" then MRFSimpleFoam solver (and the tutorial) is what you need.
If you need help with that, I will try to provide it.
