Default dynamic mesh, time related and sine motion

hi there,

I have been trying to learn dynamic mesh in OpenFOAM and here comes a question

how can I make a solid body move in one particular direction and its velocity complies with sine law

I can not find any dynamic define related to time term in tutorial

any advice is appreciated!!!

Hi burt
If I'm right, you want a motion like v(t)=a*sin(omega*t). There are some motion types available, just use oscillatingVelocity. You can make a reference to this web page: http://www.tfd.chalmers.se/~hani/kurser/OS_CFD_2007/, look at the title “A tutorial on how to use Dynamic Mesh solver IcoDyMFoam, by Pirooz Moradnia”. I think all you want can be found there.

ok.
I read what you suggested; but I have an other question: there exists some doc explaining ALL options needed by mesh moving solvers?
I mean something showing dynamicMeshDict and dynamicFvMesh options.
