Hi all Foamers,
Have been using OpenFOAM quite long time, but only now faced with mesh motion. The problem I would like to solve is similar to SnakeRiverCanyon tutorial (which does not work on my OF-1.6-ext, but I tried it on OF-2.1) - the block with one patch where nonuniform motion is prescribed using dynamicMotionSolverFvMesh. Works fine, but after some time the cell aspect ratio gets really large. My first idea was to add layers, but from all available options, none of them seems to fit. I would appreciate any suggestion for using existing options from topoChangerFvMesh, or any hint about which of them is most similar to my needs, so that I can modify it myself! Thanks, Vadims |

If you are willing to put in the time, learning how to use the layerAdditionRemoval mesh modifier can help you out. I've posted bug reports in Mantis and several threads here related. Also have a look at the 1.6-ext engineTopoChanger meshes, as that is the only place I have seen the modifers implemented.
