Default Turbulent Heat Flux Question

Hello Foamers!!! I am somewhat baffled by some of the results I've acquired in my LES simulation. It is a natural convection turbulent boundary layer flow over a heated vertical plate. Herein lies my question, is it possible to accurately capture <u'u'> and <T'T'>, but overpredict the turbulent heat flux, <u'T'>? That is essentially what my results show; thus, I am assuming mesh resolution may be the issue. These are the results.

Any feedback will be immensely appreciated?

Hi deji,

discrepancy for <u'T'> is too big so that it seems to me that the problem might be just in the plotting (normalization of data or something like that), check it carefully.

Problem solved!! It was a normalization problem...Thanks much for the feedback Dejan!

Dear deji,
How you have calculated the turbulent heat flux.
I am simulating the natural convection case in vertical channel.
Please tell me how you have calculated turbulent heat flux in FLUENT.

regards
saad
