Hi All,

Firstly, my apology if this thread may not be directly related to OpenFOAM. However, I'm keen to hear what the OF users' opinions on how to approach this problem.

I'm keen to develop a sufficiently sophisticated 1D model to validate a duct model that include detailed friction loss, fluid inertial effects, and fluid compressibility. The network comprises of a channel, couple of valves, a bend, and a turbine. Currently, there is a linear performance model that calculate friction loss based on Matlab. My task is to sort of validate and expand on it by adding the aforementioned variables (inertia and compressible flow).

Is there any related OF toolbox that can do the job?

Thanks for your time and attention.

Kind regards,
Robert
