Hi,
I tried to run my case parallel using foam-extend in the cluster (access by Putty or openSSH) utilizing 16 cores (using 'mpirun' and 'runParallel' code). In the meantime, I run the same case of foam-extend parallel in my desktop computer which have only 8 cores. However, the problem is that it takes a much more time to complete one revolution from using the cluster compared to the desktop computer. providing that I only use 8 cores. Is this possible? It seems like the cluster are unable to run the case parallel but in series. Can someone help me recognized the problem. Sorry, I'm new in OpenFOAM and foam-extend. I did not know much about it. |
