Spurious Values when Probing (u,v)?

I am running a simulation that simulates the flow over three rotating cylinders. I am probing the velocity and pressure at several locations in the wake downstream of the cylinders.

When plotting the velocities in MATLAB, I notice what appear to be spurious values of velocity; see the attachment below. Although this case is not very extreme, some probe locations return many spurious values.

What could be the cause of this? Thank you for any thoughts or insight.

Are those probes close to any boundary (including processor boundaries if the case is parallel)?

Might be useful for the community if you can provide a minimal reproducible example. There could even be a bug.
