Hello,
As an academic exercise, I am trying to simulation the flow around a 10mx10mx10m cube. As I am new to openfoam, I have taken the motorBike tutorial case and replaced the geometry and multiplied the dimensions of the box and refinement box in blockMesh and snappyHexMesh by a factor of 20 to ensure that the cube is indeed in the boxes.
When i run the case as it is, and visualise on Paraview, I only see the cube, not the boxes. I have checked that all relevant mesh regions are checked.



I have then tried with a much smaller cube of 1mx1mx1m, and it works then. I am intrigued as I have checked that the 10m cube fits inside the boxes by overimposing the two simulations on Paraview.



I'm sorry for the lack of details, but I have really made minimal changes to the motorBike case file, and am completely lost as to why this will not work for the larger cube.

You probably want to have a look at the locationInMesh parameter.

I was not aware of that parameter, but indeed changing it to a coordinate outside the cube solved the issue! Thank you very much!
