Hi all,

I was wondering if there is a comprehensive list of all the FOAM executables out there.

I can see all of the applications in the applications/bin directory. But I'm looking for a description, as well.

Specifically I'm interested in fluid flow modeling. So this is my understanding:

simpleFoam - for steady flow, both incompressible and compressible
pisoFoam - for unsteady flow, both incompressible and compressible
icoFoam - steady and unsteady incompressible flow

Can all of the above also model turbulence?

And what other possibilities are there?

Thanks for your help,
Madeleine.

Hi,

The OpenCFD OpenFOAM site gives a brief description of all the solver.
http://www.openfoam.com/features/standard-solvers.php

There are also additional solvers in the OpenFOAM Extend branch (http://www.extend-project.de/). If you browse through the $FOAM_SOLVERS directory you can see all the solvers and a brief description is given in the main solver file.
