…for a simple circular cylinder in air, 30 m/s, no moving walls or anything funny, just a simple incompressible solver…

I know it's quite a stupid question…

Maybe pisoFoam?

Sorry if I insist... How comes nobody knows the answer? It's just one of the simplest flow you may find, such as the one around a car or the one in a wind tunnel...

Hi

Have a look at the link for a brief description of what the OF solvers are used for.
Depending on if its laminar or turbulent, you are probably looking to use icoFoam or turbFoam.

simpleFoam is your guy (runs in steady-state both in laminar or turbulent cases)

simpleFoam is for non-Newtonian fluids… I want to test in air.

This is not true: simpleFoam handles both Newtonian and non-Newtonian viscous transport models
