Hi, How is it possible to calculate the viscouse forces of an OpenFoam simulation in paraview?
In Openfoam I can obtain the sum of pressure forces and viscous forces with the libforces utility. In paraview I obtain the pressure forces using the following filters: extractSurfaces generateSurfaceNormals calculator (p-pref)*normals integrate variables However how can I calclulate the sum of viscous forces in paraview? Thanks, WhiteW |

Hi,
If you run the wallShearStress utility prior to opening ParaView you can just integrate the wallShearStress vector. There may be a *(-1) required to get the correct direction (I remember this from a couple of years ago, things may have changed). Regards, Tom |
