Dear,
We are using Paraview 5.0.1 and 4.4. Since a week or so, paraview doesn't allow us to view our results. We can import the openfoam file, but no data is available for visualisation. Now comes the really confusing part: Case 1 on computer 1: cannot be viewed Case 1 on computer 2: can be viewed Case 2 on computer 1: cannot be viewed Case 2 on computer 2: can be viewed -> problem is computer-dependent and case-independent We have of course uninstalled and reinstalled both versions of paraview, and rebootet, but no luck. We would really appreciate some clues as to why this is happening and how we can fix it. Please let us know which extra information is needed to diagnose the problem! Kind regards, Sarah |

Update:
When accessing the computer with user 1, we cannot access the simulation data in Paraview. When accessing the computer with user 2, paraview reads the case just fine. Both users use the 5.0.1 Version. See the attached screenshot of what it looks like.. We would really appreciate any input on what to try next. Any programmers here that want to accept the challenge? Thanks, Sarah |

New update:
I compared the stored user settings for both users under C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\ParaView The main difference between both users was the following file in the user 1 directory: ParaView-UserSettings.json After removing this file, user 1 is now able to use paraview normally. Hopefully this persists after reboot. :-) Case solved, though I still do not understand how or why. :-s |
