I have a long primary cylinder with a solid secondary cylinder inside the primary cylinder as my Mesh. With Mach 1 the results seem very accurate, the gas/plasma follows around the edges into the volume above the inner cylinder. However, at Mach 100, paraview is showing no movement above the inner cylinder, which is odd. I am using sonicFoam. Does anyone know if there is something wrong with my initial conditions, I am outside of the limits for solving for sonic flow with this CFD software, or I have discovered some new type of phenomenon/physics with Mach 100 fluid flow?

Hi there,

I'm afraid I need to say don't get excited. Check the value of the velocities! specially in your second case it is 1.3e+05!!

Thank you for your note Mr. Einstein. I was referring to the area above the inner cylinder where there is no velocity. Someone please offer some advice why it goes from thousands of meters per second to 0 in this area?
