Hello all,
I can not get the printed values of the variable REST in GENTRA. I set -2 (to calculate the particle volume fration)for REST. Pheonics has printed 0.0 for all the cells. But in my case the particle loading ratio is nearly 0.5 Anyone can help me to solve this problem? thanks Rams |

The calculation of the particle volume fraction is bypassed in GENTRA when STEADY=F. It is also bypassed for massless (lazy) particles.

Dear Mike Malin,
Thank you very much for your answer. In my calculation, I set STEADY = T in Group 2 and GSTOCH = T in GENTRA GROUP 1 of q1 file. I need to calculate the volume fraction of particles in each cell. Could you tell me how to calculate the same? If you want to see my q1/result file, kindly let me know. Thanking you Rams |

A similar problem with REST was reported by CHAM Japan (cham-j@phoenics.co.jp. I believe that you are supported by them, so if you send your files to them, they will forward them to support@cham.co.uk on your request. I will then try and find out the reason why the calculation is not made made by GENTRA under the conditions that you describe.
