single STL or separate solids for heat transfer

Default single STL or separate solids for heat transfer

i've imported an an entire autocad 3d geometry as a single stl file, do i have to keep seperate my 3d solids and import them one by one as a stl files if i have to do the simulation of the heat transfer?
