Hi guys. I am a student working on a project for school and I have been having problems and it was just made clear to me that my problem is in my mesh and not in the CFD solver.
So, my project is to examine the convective cooling of a cylinder in a fluid flow, so I have made a mesh in pointwise of a square with a circle in the middle. Once i made the two regions(they are separate) i started running them in fluent to test and make sure they are doing what i need. This is where someone pointed out to me that I was doing it wrong. Initially i made the fluid portion of the mesh based on the tutorials in the software(ch7 if you are familiar) and was able to construct the part between the circle and the square. Then I made another domain inside the circle. apparently this is wrong. Can anyone give me some guidance on how to either fix it, or direct me on how to make it correctly to start? I'm getting desperate as I have just discovered I have wasted all of my free time this week and the due date is getting close and I still have no data. Any help would be appreciated. I posted the mesh in a zip if someone will review it to help. Thanks! |
