Pointwise technical support outside the USA

Hi,

I am not a Pointwise customer (maybe will be in the future). But as far as I can tell Pointwise only provide technical support in the USA, is that correct? Technical support in other countries is provided by third party product sellers, whom will not know the software as well as Pointwise themselves and could be small in terms of staff/staff time of provide technical support. Currently I use ANSYS products and because they are so large I get technical support directly from ANSYS staff in the UK.

You are correct that Pointwise, Inc. technical support staff are all located in the U.S., and outside the U.S. we use distributors to provide technical support. However, those distributors are selected in large part on their technical competence and expertise in simulation and in particular expertise in CFD preprocessing. Once they become a Pointwise distributor they receive intensive training in Pointwise to become proficient in its use, and they get regular recurrent training in new features before they are released to the general public. Plus they are backed up by the Pointwise technical support staff.

In the UK, CFD Technologies has been a Pointwise distributor since the year 2000, and I am sure they can provide a good level of technical support.
