I-DEAS CAD data import with boundary conditions

Dear Star Users,
Has anybody ever tried to import I-DEAS CAD data with boundary definitions (i.e. inflow, outflow, wall boundaries) directly into Star-CD ? I managed to import I-DEAS CAD data, however boundary definitions were not imported. So I needed to import tha mesh data into Star-CD first, select and redefine the boundary conditions in Star-CD later on. If possible I want to get rid of boundary selection and definition in Star-CD. Any comments will be greatly appreciated. Yunus |

Dear Users, I am also facing the same problem as Mr. Yunus. I am exporting the geometry definition for ONERA M6 wing, the symmetry plane and the farfield. While generating the tetrahedral mesh, however, the information about the old faces or shells is lost as new triangular shells are formed during surface repair. Now is it possible to identify the newly formed faces on the boundaries using the old ones ?
