Error attempting to open X display

Hi I Installed new version of star cd 3.22.001 for windows2000.But I am not able run the prostar.It is giving error as this Error attempting to open X display, without opening any window.Could you please help me in this regard. The dispalyed error is as fallows:

1)Are you sure you are using WINDOWS version?
2)Check your setting for the visualisation. CFD |

Hi I you are using Windows,Then Problem is due to Exceed. Check it up.

If you are using Windoze, you'll be wasting your time in the long run, so I'll not offer any help.
If you are being sensible and using UNIX (incl. Linux), you've either got your DISPLAY set wrong (or not set at all) or your X terminal isn't accepting remote connections. If you are sitting at the machine: arse, then do the following: 1) In your STAR window, type: setenv DISPLAY arse:0 2) Open a local window on arse and type: xhost + |

A question for you...
are you using the provided SCO XVision? if you are, is you machine using an Intel graphics card? There is compatibility issue between XVision and certain intel graphics cards. |

Hi kevin,
It is the problem with SCO XVision.Just I ran Xvision ones, then everything is ok!Now it is running.Any how thanks for your sugegstion Mr.Kevin.Also thanks to CFD,CFD(2) and Dhandapani. Best Regards Pradeep |
