I have a model with air flowing through a nozzle at a high velocity into a large volume of water. The model does one quick iteration and then has gone a couple days without doing another one. Thoughts or suggestions on what is going on or what to do?

Maybe you can play around with the no. of subcycles and timestep.I also face this problem. However, i still unable to solve it.At first, there's only one iteration.Once i change the timestep, i managed to get 4 iterations...in two days! Anybody can help us with this??

i have never used starCD but i think it may be related to maximum number of iterations it can perform at each level of amg, usually it is set to 30,
but if this is the case then it clearly says that solver is not able to converge it to the level specified and is trying to do so. changing the time step will help in such cases. If i were you i might have gone with time step as small as 1.0E-05 or 5E-06 seeing your case. I am not sure how much i made sense here, hope it will be useful. |
