Hi,
how can we align a regions movement with the movement of a dfbi body, like aligning the motion of the propeller with the ship but without using dfbi superposed rotation. thanks in advance for any help. regards, rocky |

I don't know what you mean. Can you explain the application?

i am studying the flight dynamics of an airship and finding its trajectory through star ccm. the airship has two propellers which are connected to it through a rod. now the rods rotate around their central axis, and hence the rotating propellers swivels thus providing thrust vectoring. so in order to simulate this in overset mesh, i desperately need a way to align the region containing the propeller and the region containing the rod with the airship body so that they remain attached to the airship while performing their own rotation and also translate with the airship. i have attached the photo of my cad model. you can see the propeller and rod there.
