Greetings,
in a 2D viscous simulation of a ship, (velocity inlet set at 1.9 m/s), which initial conditions should I set? And, since I set on the ship boundary "wall condition", in "shear stress specification" which setting is better, no slip or slip? Thanks |

I would initialize your velocity field to 1.9 m/s in the direction it will flow and initialize pressure to zero everywhere. Only choose 'slip' if you want to exclude boundary layer formation on the hull... Slip essentially creates a frictionless wall boundary.
