Hello Star CCM+ user,

I hope all had good Christmas and looking forward for new year!

I am working on a house model which has different height for bed, bath and lobby. I have created the house model in solid works and have successfully imported into star CCM+ ( 11.04.012)

Objective: the goal for this simulation is to analyze the air flow inside the building.

house model and vents:
1. The way I am doing, the house model has been created in solid works and did the 'extrude cut' in order to create gap for vents and exhaust. Next, In Star CCM+, during the surface repair, new rectangle were created (where the gaps were created using extrude cut command in solid works).. and those rectangle renamed as inlets and exhaust.

2. I also realized that every wall has two layers and am trying to delete the one layer for all the walls, is it a good way to go?

I am wondering if the above mentioned method is correct or not. I will greatly appreciate any suggestions!

Problem facing: 1. In order to get the fine mesh on inlets and outlets, automated mesh option has been used but after creating the automation mesh; a yellow triangle appears in front of automated mesh. Can you please share what does this mean?

2. After the surface meshing; attempt of volume mesh fails error message " Surface is not closed"..

Thanks in advance!
Sandy
